Intel 535 Series SSD

Go to solution Solved by Bestbuyguy,

The drive is most likely dead, since the it's not showing up properly with any of your computers, than it's very unlikely any sort of problem involving software or other such computer problems not related to the actual drive. Hopefully you can get it replaced or buy a replacement. :)

I have an Intel 535 Series SSD 120GB which was acting as the main boot drive for the computer (it's a home server); abruptly, the drive stopped working. It's plugged straight into the board in the SATA 1 slot, and into the power supply using the SATA power connector. It didn't show up in the BIOS when I tried restarting the machine. The system still posts, but is not able to boot at all. When I tried plugging the drive into a different computer using a Startech USB-SATA interface adapter, the active adapter showed up but the drive itself did not. I tried using a (ugh) Mac and my Windows workstation, but all to no avail. Is the drive probably dead?

Server specs (additional specs available upon request):

Processor: Intel Pentium G3240

RAM: 2x2GB (4 total)

Board: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition

Storage Devices:

-1x Intel 535 Series 120GB SSD (dead?)

-1x Vantec UGT-ST644R 4-Port RAID card

-4x Western Digital Red 2.0TB SATA/64MB cache HDDs (all functional)

Expansion Cards:

-1x Intel 45W1959 4-Port NIC

-RAID card mentioned above

Just what I feared; thanks for agreeing!
