its as the tittle says, I wanted to learn how to use android studio and i started messing around with it, i got to a point were i needed to download an emulator to run the program (or something like that, still learning), so i did it and when i tried to run the app, it shows me this message saying that i need to enable vt-x on the motherboard bios... i go to the bios and i find an option that says "intel virtualization technology" but its already enabled, so i try to search for another one but i only found vt-d which is also enabled. at this point i dont know what to do, i searched online and found other people with the same problem as me, but no concrete answer.

my motherboard is a:

Z97X-UD3H-BK from gigabyte

procesor is an intel core i5 4690k

Its possible that your motherboard's bios doesn't support vt-x

Apparently some gigabyte boards hide "advanced" options in their bios that can be shown using Ctrl+F1 so you could see if that reveals the option.

power cycle, would be to turn on PC, boot to OS and then shut down, then turn off power.

dunna know if that'd be a consideration since the static instructions are within the UEFI (if supported) and non-volatile to power down issues.

make sure you have the latest UEFI

try this and see if it all passes I would think if the board or something did not it should or may not pass the test??

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005567.html

it says it passed, but there are a lot of things in the test results file D:
