Compatibility Question about Cablemod custom extensions.

Go to solution Solved by EminentSun,

No eps and pcie are not compatible.

Okay I'll try to keep this simple and only say what needs to be said.

I am trying to get rid of the Ketchup and mustard cables that came with my power supply without replacing the PSU.

-My idea is buying a Cable extension kit from cablemod (https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-basic-cable-extension-kit-66-pin-series-black-blue/)

-My dilemma is that my GPU requires a 1x6pin PCI-e AND 1x8-pin PCI-e.

The kit I'm looking at has an 8 pin "EPS" cable I am wondering If i can use the "eps" extender as if it were a PCI-e extender.

The EPS cable I am using currently is sleeved black and tucked literally into the corner of my motherboard so I don't really need to extend or replace that cable. I just want to know if I can use the 8 pin extension cable in the kit (EPS) on my graphics card.

Below I will include some pics to my build (https://pcpartpicker.com/b/fChqqs) so we all have a visual idea of what I'm trying to do here. I'll also upload a couple pictures of specifically what I'm trying to do here.

Thank you in advance.
