My school Issued us all these Dell Chrombook 11's, but they filled it up with restrictions. I have two questions. 1) Would dual booting a distro of linux, probably ubuntu, using crouton, allow my to bypass all of those restrictions, and 2) Will me going into developer mode and all of that probably alert the Admins about something, like "This chromebook is not registered anymore" or anything like that? Any help that you could offer would be great. Thanks in advance. :)

Even if you can enter developer mode, installing a different OS requires altering settings in the BIOS, which -if the admins are worth anything - they will have locked down.

So you're most likely out of luck.

Yeah, turns out they did. BUt somehow I got my Chrombook off of the Schools chromebook network thing, so now i can bypass all of the restrictions on there.
