You could go for a Z170 mobo with a 6600k because the price difference between 6500 and 6600k is low, you won't regret it when you'll need to squeeze the last of it when it has been a couple of years.

thank you i will consider it

Yea, we know that. So, what's your point?

Where did you get the idea that there was an i7-6600k processor?

Is that your future build? If it is, you probably should get a disk or two (ssd + hdd) unless you already have those, 16gb's of ram is also highly recommended for most multimedia applications that demand a lot nowadays, and even with an overclocked 6700K and a 1060 (which is a king in power efficiency btw), with a closer to 600W PSU you would still be okay.

But if its a single SSD for the entire computer, at least a 512GB one :p. Then you make a partition for the OS and the rest for the computer applications.

it's good, I have a GTX 1060, it plays a lot of games 1080p high, 16 memory is enough, I recommend taking an SSD like Samsung 850 Evo 250GB and a Seagate hybrid 1TB or more if you want.

He probably would do fine with a i5-6600K with the 1060, since I7-6700K would be more suitable with proper GTX 1080 :P

It's fine but the i7-6700k might be overkill unless you're gonna upgrade the 1060 to 1080
