Hi so i want ot buy BenQ 21.5" LED GW2270, that is something that i wouldnt change because after a intensive research i found that it was the best price/quality and combines the best things of IPS and TN, the VA panel of this monitor, VA is mandatory and because of my low budget its the best VA on the market of my country, but this monitor has to models, one with D-Sub and DVI-D and another with 2xHDMI and D-Sub.

Since i only use the monitor for the PC, and i will not connect any other device later ( i only in the future use dual monitor setup) should i get the HDMI or DVI-D version, wich cable is better for connecting a pc to the monitor, wich are the advantages and disadvantages of wich one the cable.

PS: i dont want use speakers of the monitor for anything

Thanks

It wont be any different with either, use whichever is more convenient.

hdmi is newer and supports encrypted content (digital rights management). dvi is older and the pins bend easier. hdmi is plug and play.

On the contrary, HDMI is known for having all kinds of issues on PCs since it is designed for home theaters; various problems like incorrect color profiles, overscan/underscan issues, improper detection of resolution/refresh frequency, etc. when used with computer monitors, because it chooses defaults with the assumption that you are using it with a TV.

DVI on the other hand is very well established and rarely has any problems.

and it gives you the ability to plug usb stick into your monitor, which i always found strange.
