I have a msi ge62 with no usb-c or thunderbolt 3 ports, so I am planning on removing the dvd drive(I understand I will be voiding the warranty). It will create a big hole for an externder wire from the mPCIE slot to the holr and then connect and eGPU to that. Is this possible? I can't sell the laptop. I will have a gtx 1060! I will cut a pvc to create a cover for excess space of the whole by the

Well ill be using a usb wifi i dont really use the laptop function that much. As long as the gou does better than my 960m I wont mind and I've seen in youtube people using these adapters woth crappy CPUs and still bottlenecks less than 10%.

I just need to do how many percent bottlenecking will probably occur and if drivers and everything will still be working. I dont want to buy it and find out that softwares and drivers wont work or that my laptop locked the mpcie to anything besides a wifi card!
