Have been running my ASUS Radeon HD 7770 1GD5 for about a year now.
It has been working fine until my fans started going crazy. I checked everything and realised that gpu temp is stuck at 0°C ALL THE TIME. Have used hwmonitor, Crimson drivers and TechPowerUp GPU-Z to check temperatures and all of them show the same result. I have also tried reinstalling drivers with DDU. While drivers are uninstalled, gpu temperature can not be read and the fans are spinning properly. Once installed, they go crazy again. Perhaps it's time for a new GPU?

Thanks in advance :)

yeah the temp sensor is probably broken, my 7770 fan now doesn't spin until it hits about 80% fan speed then turns off at 60% does me is passive cooled most of the time :P

I've seen mine hit 104C :/

That is sad :(

Will wait for other suggestions, and if nothing works out I may end up opening it to take a look one more time. I reinstalled my windows yesterday so maybe it is a software problem.. Thanks for the quick response tho :)

have you tried going around in the bios?

if you're meaning the system bios (not the GPU) then there are no options for the GPU. Pretty sure the fan is breaking due to age.

Ok just to keep you updated...
I accidantely bumped my pc and it restarted....
After restart I noticed that gpu is not that noisy. Later I checked if the drivers failed or something but temperatures were fine.
Don't know if it was a bad PCI connection or something. Maybe even my mobo was sending/receiving info properly..
Anyways it works now.. Thanks for responses :) @vorticalbox @Hunterjost892
