New Gaming PC for around ~1500€/~1700$

Hello guys!

I am looking for a new gaming build to replace my current rig. I wanna get a better gaming experience over my current rig.

What stuff the new PC has to do:

-Gaming (Modded GTA V; Battlefield 4, Hardline and Battlefield 1; Rainbox 6; ArmA 3; Watch_Dogs 2; Elite Dangerous etc.)

-render videos (Adobe Premiere Pro)

-Photoshop Stuff

The parts I've picked:

HDD: Western Digital WD Blue 3TB, SATA 6 Gb/s

SDD: Samsung SSD 750 Evo 500GB

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k, 4x4.0 GHz

CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB, DDR4-2666 CL 15-17-17

MB: ASUS Z170-A

Case: NZXT Phantom 530 windowed

PS: be quiet! Pure Power L8-CM 730W ATX 2.31

It's my first build and I'd like to know your opinion about this.

Excellent choice of parts - all of them! Nice...

But I'm not sure about the PSU - do check up on many reviews online (including http://www.jonnyguru.com/)

And if you're gonna do video-editing full-time, you might want to get 32GB RAM (speed doesn't matter much...)

Nothing to see here ;)

i think it looks pretty well thought out :)

the only suggestion i can think of is:

if you don't care that much about looks, you could swap the

case for a lower-price case and then swap the 1070 for a 1080

best of luck with assembling :D

4k the dream

Haven't heard of the PSU at all - just because it's from a known brand, it doesn't have to be reliable and popular...

Exactly my point... :). If OP is getting a 730W PSU anyway, he might at least get the RM750X or Supernova 750 G2.

With that healthy budget, I expect no less than Tier 1 or 2 anyway.

No reason to skimp on PSU with that budget.

So if OP ever replies back, it's better if we know where you're going to purchase this from so that we can take a look at the options you have.

In fact, the be Quiet! PSU retails for 80.5 Pounds - around $130!!! The OP will be better off getting the aforementioned RM750X, or the Supernova G2 750...

I am not gonna do editing that much, just from time to time.

Well I picked this case because it really looked cool and suits my requirements.

And for all...

I should choose the RM750X or Supernova 750 G2?

Anyways thank you all for the usefull tips

Then 16 GB should be fine for you...

As for the PSU, it's your choice... the 2 aforementioned PSUs are from the most popular and reliable series of PSUs in the market, but I'll link you to a PSU classification page (try your best to get a tier 1 PSU):

All the best! :)

Any plans to add a 2nd graphics card in the future ? If not then a 550W psu is enough.

The EVGA G2 and Corsair RMx are both available in 550W and 750W if you decide you want to SLI.

People, you need to take advantage of Pascal and Skylake.

They use so little power. You can easily run SLI 1080s on 650W. There's very few reasons to buy a 750W in a gaming build unless you're going completely crazy.

Get a high quality 550W. If you think you might add SLI down the road, get 650. 1070 would run fine in SLI with an i7 6700k on a good 550 though.
