Sharing a drive over network to specific users

I would like to share an external HDD plugged into my laptop to ONLY my desktop, over the network. There are many others on the network - which is why i want to set it to only be accessible by my laptop and my desktop. How do i go about doing this?

When you go to share the drive, press Advanced Sharing Options and choose permissions so that your username can only access the share and everyone else can't.
