maybe go for a single 21x9 1080p monitor, such as https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B67KAQ4/?tag=pcpapi-20 .

Get some nice g.skill black/white ddr4 3200 ram for the same price (aesthetics are key!!!).

Maybe go for a k70 speed rgb or something similar, its a lot less expensive and a lot more natural. a razor orbweaver can be used as well if you want some macros, or want a keypad like the model 1.

Also i love the g502 mouse, i would recommend that for gaming or get a maxnomic castor mouse.

I think I will add the razer orbweaver. It looks cool and I think I will want a one hand keyboard for when I am using the vive but I will keep the keyboardio for full keyboard typing (for games like screeps) and coding.  the reason for the dual monitors is I like to have music playing in the background while I play and have my games full screened and hate tabbing out so I need two screens for that. Plus I am thinking of streaming some time.  I am still flip-flopping on whether or not to get the Saitek x56 or not.  My concern is the reviews cite poor quality.

so this is a link (+one htc vive) to my current build plan for a $3000 USD build I was wondering if I could get some opinions on it.  This is going to be my first complete build and am sure if I it will work.

You have the budget for some better monitors.

Not really because the vive will ~800 USD (source) which actually puts my current plan at 3.1k I might still upgrade the monitors though.  They are the most fluid piece of this build.  I have no idea what I am doing with screens (I didn't even know about display-port until recently).

Ok but don't waste money on a GTX 1070 if you are only going to be running a low resolution screen. I would try and aim for 1440p.
