Posted August 7, 2016 why get the 6850k ? It offers no performance benefit over the 6800k , and costs 200$ more . 28 pcie lanes is plenty for a gtx 1080 , and you still have plenty of expansion left AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case
 Posted August 7, 2016 I won't recommend it. The 6850K has six cores. It generates a lot more heat than the 4-core counterparts. Even without any overclocking, a Noctua NH-D9L(110mm tall) is the minimum requirement for this CPU. Either you pick a less powerful CPU, or another PC case. You have plenty of room . It was an issue now that nidia killed 4 way sli , but nvidia killed it , so the 6850 has no real reason to exist . If you want a console looking, lay-down style case. Then, no. A small tower style. I can think of Define Nano S. Or the coming Lian LI PC-Q37. Posted August 7, 2016 I'm assuming you're looking at those asrock itx x99 motherboards like the x99E-ITX/ac . What you could do is mount an h55 aio cooler to it . Linus did it in the ultimate compact pc . The node 202 does have spots for 120mm fans ... Nor will it able to handle the heat of a six-core chip. Second, have you check what special socket this Asrock mobo has?
