My PC worked fine for about 3 years, then the other day i decided to clean it, i disassembled everything then put it back, everything worked for about 2 days, than yesterday it stopped to show anything on the monitor, basically all the parts work but on the monitor there's nothing (not even the logo of MoBo). So i've tried to test every single components and the only thing that the MoBo is showing is a solid red led called "DRAM_LED".

I've thought then that the problem is due to a faulty ram, now i have a question, it is possible that BOTH the ram stopped working in the same moment? I've also tried to use the memtest with the individual sticks (in the correct spot indicated on mobo user's guide) but still nothing.

PS: All the tests that i have made were done without the GPU, to exclude a problem of the same

-Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2x4GB 1600MHz

You see that Red light? It is the DRAM LED, if it's light up, it means you have a problem on your RAM, try reinstalling it carefully.

Already tried more than once, the only thing that make me unsure about the ram problem is that is really strange that both of them stopped working in the same moment..

So i've tried with another stick of working RAM and even now no POST and DRAM_LED is solid red, so i'm now pretty sure that the problem is with the MOBO.

Do you think that this (http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H61M-DGS/index.it.asp) can be a valid alternative for about another year?

Thanks in advance

If you use the card, and you get something on the screen, then just your onboard graphics are broken, no big deal. if it shows nothing, try a new cord, if it still shows nothing, try a new slot, if that doesn't work a new MOBO, etc. just troubleshooting steps :P

Troubleshooting a pc will make you believe in gremlins.
