New rig need some advice

Your RAM is complete overkill...64GB?! I have 16GB and that's still overkill for just playing games.  Your PSU is also overkill unless you plan on upgrading massively in the future but you should go for a 650W PSU instead of 1500.

Ram and PSU is very overkill. 16G for ram (32g max if needed for workstation work) 650-750w PSU is more than enough.

 

Also, might aswell get a aftermarket GTX 1080

16gb of RAM should be enough unless you are doing some intense rendering, and in that case I would recommend getting a 6-core or 8-core processor. Also, you don't need 1500 watts. 650 or 750 should be enough unless you plan to add another graphics card or something like that.

Your PSU and RAM are overkill af.  What are you using your PC for?  Video editing, workstation or just for gaming?

Are you going to do heavy duty work like rendering or sciencey stuff on it? Or just gaming
