How is your 8350? Perform well? Thinking about getting one...

Performs decent for the price, but if you want path to upgrade go with intel. And if you decide to get one of these its 970 chip for default and uc and 990 for oc. And unless your case has fan above mobo then its good idea to get cpu fan that blows straight into the mobo.

Its that mobo, not sure exactly about the chipset, but I do know its AM3+

It will run it, but not that great. Generally you need 8pin cpu connector in mobo to run 8 cores from amd, So if youll prob have to get new psu(unless yours have 8pin cpu connector allreadi) , mobo that has 970 atlest in the name and the 8350. if you only need the mobo and cpu you can prob get micro atx 970 board for cheap, but they need to have that 8pin connector.

Yes, I have an 8 pin cpu connector, but my MOBO only supports a 4 pin connector

It will most likely render your mobos vrm useless, since it will overheat it constantly. So youll need new mobo and the cpu itself and youll prob can use the stock cooler for while if you undeclock the cpu slightly (no need if it doesnt throttle), but it will still sound like jet engine, so you prob should get cpu cooler for it ( with the fan blowing down ). With this cost youll prob get like i5 and mobo for it (maybe).

so does that mean It wont run at max performance and wont run better than an fx 6300?
