so i wanted to boot into a external harddrive, but my laptop is asking for a supervisor password on the bios and i dont know it..how can i figure it out? i never put any sort of password on my bios, and it limits me on what i want to do but until i find that password, i can boot into my drive. any suggestions ? tips? How-to's ??

You can try pulling the CMOS Battery and waiting 30 seconds and see if that clears out the password. Not as likely anymore, but possible.

 

Also, instead of manipulating the boot order, you could just try mashing F12 and picking USB to boot from, that way you wouldn't have to crack the password.

i did press f12, but right after it goes into the bios, it ask me for the password and its the same thing when i try to reorder the boot devices in the bios

If resetting the CMOS doesn't work, you may be looking at replacing the motherboard in the laptop.  BIOS passwords are often stored in a dedicated memory chip on the motherboard.
