So, i just got the nano S case from fractal and wanted more than one fan to be running in my case.

I've got the Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI mobo and the Cooler Master sedion 120mm v2. I was wondering wether I could split the power from the CPU fan header or SYS fan header to accomadate the 140mm fan and my water pump.

Thank you :)

EDIT: I'm going to get a molex to 3pin adapter soon (in about 3 weeks) but I kinda need a quick fix now

Correct me if im wrong, but the pump should have its own external power, usually a SATA or Molex power plug to actually provide power and the 3/4 pin is just for PWM control. There should be no issues using this on a splitter for PWM control.

Thank you for the answer!

My waterpump only has a 3pin to give it power :) (It's a cheap one)

so seeing that is the main power, can i split it?

Weird, never heard of a pump only using a 3 pin fan header for power... I would personally NOT split it and would highly urge you to reconsider using that pump in the first place. Doesn't sound like its going to have good water flow.

EDIT: Just watched a video on the cooler you listed and it is cooler master so it may be ok, but I still would not recommend splitting the 3pin power for it.

There are plenty low-end AIO coolers that does that. it cooles my 860k just fine :)
here is the link: http://eu.coolermaster.com/uk/cooling/cpu-liquid-cooler/seidon-120v2/

so i shouldn't split the fan header because the pump might not get enough power?

thanks
