marshmallow 6.0 to 5.1.1

so, recently I received the marshmallow update for the note 4 (n910w8), and I have been procrastinating to update it to 6.0, and I know I am being skeptical, but if there was a chance my battery life would get worst, is it safe to downgrade with firmwares from sam-mobile? Would it trip the knox counter? how do I get the original firmware off my phone without rooting it? I know it's a choice to update or not, but the 6.0 Notification is annoying and tempting.
