I've had my X99 Extreme4 sitting on a shelf for a month and would like to test that it still works before I sell it. I've already sold the CPU so obviously I can't get it to post but I have every other part available if that helps.

So far I've plugged in a 4 pin fan and a 24 pin which did nothing.

There is a single LED on this motherboard as far as I can tell which shows which bios is selected. It doesn't turn on.

it will not do anything without a CPU. some mobos can flash the UEFI without a CPU, but it is a blind install.

I guess I just have to hope it still works, thanks for the help.

If you had the proper lab equipment like power supplies, oscilloscope, multimeter, etc, and you had detailed schematics for the motherboard, you could test it without the CPU, but that's a bit impractical. :)
