Hey guys I am trying to figure out a parts list for my first build and was hoping you guys could give me some advice.

I want to be able to play AAA games at 1080p, 60Hz, and try to build a pc that won't need an upgrade for around 3 years. The computer will also be used for some work related things, mainly: Solid Modelling, and Finite Element Analysis.

I am buying a used Phanteks Enthoo luxe for $140CAD, and I will be purchasing a graphics card after the GTX 1070 launches. I want to wait and see the prices/benchmarks of the aftermarket GTX 1070s, and whatever AMD releases at computek before I make a decision on a graphics card. I want my overall budget to be around $1500CAD, but that might change once I see the new graphics cards.

Let me know what you guys think, and leave any advice on how I can improve my build.

Your build looks good, but I'd buy the used case for about $100, the case is used (and possibly scratched) and acessories will be missing, and it is probably worth spending the $50 more on a new case if seller doesn't reduce the price.

Why not go for something like a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M which is only about $100 USD new (and similar in function to the LUXE)?

Also, if you plan to only have 1 GPU, you could consider an MITX board that has onboard WiFi/Bluetooth and save the $50 on the wireless adapter. You can also get away with a H170 board instead of the Z170A because your CPU is non-overclockable and therefore you don't need the "Z" series board.

I think I will probably downgrade to the Enthoo Pro M, and buy a few case fans.

I'll probably stick to ATX motherboards because I may buy a second graphics card in the future, but I will downgrade to the Gigabyte GA-H170-D3HP.

As for the network card, I recently upgraded to an AC router, and the only motherboard with built in AC support are out of my price range.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128871&cm_re=Gigabyte_H170N-_-13-128-871-_-Product It's decently priced and includes the WiFi/Bluetooth onboard. It'd also look pretty good in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX (which is cheaper than the Pro M). I'd really advocate against multiple GPU configurations unless you're going for SLI Titan-series cards, to be honest. Single cards are just plain better (and more supported).
