So as the title says i'm intrested in what is the max safe temp for this cpu? I have it and i found over the net and also some program shows that TJ is 62C.
But what does that exactly means? CoreTemperature right? Becouse, for just funs and tests i OC'd to 4.8Ghz. And over full load the max temp was 71C. While the max CoreTemp was 60C
So from that i assume at 62C coretemp it would throttle or even shut down? Idk its just my guess.
Also aside from that another question. How's that everywhere i see people talking about that this CPU bottlenecks high or middlehigh end cards. I have a R9 390. And i usually run the processor on 3.5Ghz underclocked as much as possible. And i see no bottleneck in any game. Plus even if i overclock it into 4.8Ghz Its not that much of a FPS diff. Programs that uses processor more are ofc faster etc. But besides that. Idk.

85C ? You mean that for CoreTemperature or for CPU temp becouse the two are not the same.

Core temp and CPU temp are essentially the same, core temp is the temp of each individual core, CPU temp is the temp of all the cores that is averaged for the overall temp of the CPU. Pretty much no one would ever say core temps, you only say overall CPU temp

61c, download AMD overdrive to see your thermal margin, throttle temp is 70c so that it what overdrive will show you how far you are from. Max socket temp is also recommended as 70c on AM3/AM3+

I have AMD Overdrive. It does shows that margin is 70C for every core. So i guess i'm safe even at that max 61C. At gaming its never that high. Just at full load prime etc stress test.
