SteamInstall on ubuntu problems

I am attempting to install steam on ubuntu 14.04 but when additional packages are being installed it drops this...

 

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 : Depends: libglapi-mesa:i386 (= 10.1.3-0ubuntu0.6)
 unity-control-center : Depends: libcheese-gtk23 (>= 3.4.0) but it is not going to be installed
                        Depends: libcheese7 (>= 3.0.1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.

Have you tried this?

sudo apt-get install libc6:i386
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-trusty:i386

 

Steam on Ubuntu has always been a thorn in my side, funnily enough considering that it's meant to run on Ubuntu. It usually takes some googling around to get it working. Also give 

sudo apt-get -f install steam

a shot. If it gives you an error switch the -f and the install around, I might've mixed them up.

Guys, you just go the website and download their package. Easiest install ever.

I've had trouble with even the .deb from Steam. Usually some stupid dependency or library missing.
