Hello! new member here!

Hello everyone!

 

My name is Ian and I'm trying to re-engage with IT and potentially get a career within it.

 

I am learning the new CompTIA A+ 901/902 and have been recommended this website as a reliable source of information full of active and knowledgeable members by a friend.

 

I am having a couple of troubles with the TCI/IP section as a lot of this is new to me, up till this point it has all been relatively good as I have previous experience within IT but it was a while ago and it was mainly base level stuff, nothing in too much detail.

 

Is this website/forum for people like me or just for people looking to interact with other people with an already large breadth of knowledge?

There's plenty of different sections on this forum, where there are people who are highly knowledgeable and know their stuff.

 

Personally, I've never heard of TCI/IP but I have heard of TCP/IP? Not sure if this is what you meant haha - I'm assuming it's about networking because of the IP part? If so, head over to the networking part of the forums (Located https://linustechtips.com/main/forum/45-networking/)

haha yeah I meant TCP/IP! my 4 year old is running around the room playing and my dog is going mental playing with her so didn't even notice the error!

 

I will head over to the networking part of the forum and try posting a question in there, thank you for the reply and the welcome!
