CPU Fan Speed Issue

I recently built a PC using an HP XW8600 Motherboard and used two Xeon E5440s. The problem I'm having is I can't get the BIOS or board to get the CPU fan control properly. I'm on the latest BIOS from HP. I've tried using SpeedFan with no luck. I'm out of ideas.

I've used HWMonitor to view temps and it looks like the CPU sensor on the motherboard controls the Fan speed and not the temp reading from the CPUs. I just don't understand how to fix it.

Any Help or even Ideas to try would be greatly appreciated.

Go into the BIOS and see if there is an option to "disable CPU fan error." After that, you may be able to set your own custom fan curves.

unfortunately, the BIOS for this board is very basic. There seems to be no adjustments to change the CPU fans at all. That's part of the reason i'm confused. You can monitor temp and fan RPMs, but can't change anything.
