Advice on gpu choice

bernat17

Hey!

I wanna do a mITX build

I will use the node 202 or the Rvz02 case.

I need advice about the gpu. With these cases should i use a reference style blower gpu OR an open fan style like asus strix?

Thanks!

It depends on how good the airflow in the case is.

Both cases have intake vents for the gpu to give it fresh air, but other than air vents for the gpu and cpu to intake fresh air, there are no places for mounting system fans to give fresh air and get the heat out of the pc.

Taking that into consideration, having a gpu with an open cooler will keep the gpu cooler, but it will kick heat out to the other parts of the pc. That is okay if there is adequate airflow to keep the rest of the system cool, but since both cases don't have system fans for good airflow, it will be best to get a gpu with a blower style cooler. The gpu will run hotter, but the rest of the system will run cooler.

Having a blower style cooler for the gpu is recommended, but the decision is ultimately up to you. If you want your gpu to run cooler and don't mind the rest of the system running hotter, the get a gpu with an open cooler.
