So I have this idea based on this idea, streaming Steam game using AWS.

My idea is:
Since I get free credits because I am a student, I can use AWS for free. (If you are student, you get $35/$100, depending on your school, credit per year)
And instead of upgrading my computer to VR ready, I use AWS to play VR game.

It sounds feasible since it works with regular game.
So the only cost is the rift/vibe itself.

Can this deliver sub 20ms latency from head motion to output display?

I guess it will depend on how far are you from the data center.

Hopefully you dont have to be inside the data center to achieve that.

Highly doubt this will work. The latency will be enough to make you sick. Also streaming 90fps? Not going to happen.

Wishing leads to ambition and ambition leads to motivation and motivation leads to me building an illegal rocket ship in my backyard.

Terrible idea, would likely cause motion sickness

VR is not something that is affordable yet and if you can't readily afford a gaming PC and VR headset then it's just not for you yet.

Alternatively, there maybe a way to buy a rift on credit a la paypal's billmelater or other but then you'd need to worry about monthly payments on rift/pc.
