power supply quesiton

Wanna ask about a question about my PSU it suddenly blows like burnt smell and I immediately turned off my PC and unplug everything and check the inside of my PSU and theres no burnt capacitors or bulge or smell like the one I smell at the back of the fan of the PSU and a few hours later i turn on my PC again and it works fine the blow of the PSU at the back smells normal now and the temp of my other hardwares is normal and my PSU is not actually a "RATED" its just a cheapo "GENERIC 700watts" one (still saving up for a better one) anyway my question is whats the problem of the PSU?

 

heres my specs:
amd phenom ii x6 1055t
gtx 750ti stormx dual
8gb ram
2 HDD

i would say psu fan blew and something in the fan is smoking but if it isnt continuing then unless you can see your psu fan not running that wouldn't be it. and i don't know of anything else inside that wouldnt cause computer to shut down and be done

hi thanks for the answer my PSU fan is working right now, I smelled the burnt thing like a couple of hrs ago and i immediately turned off my PC and turned it on after i check everything on the PSU and the burnt smell is gone

strange, if nothing seems wrong and everything seems good then just keep eyes on the thing till you replace it like you say your gonna do

yeah, gonna keep an eye for it and yes I really need a better rated one just gonna wait for other answers in the forums
