Hey guys,

First thread creation here, I was just looking for feedback, and this website seemed great.

What I want to achieve with this PC is game recording, editing, and games such as fallout 4, csgo, mc, gta.

My goal is to get a high performance, and a solid fps rate

So, what I'm thinking of using is the following:

Case: Cooler Master K-380
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-6500 3,2GHz   Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 412S
MB: MSI H110M PRO-D

Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR4-2400

Nvidia GTX 970 4GB
1000GB HDD Sata III

650 WattThanks for in regards!

- Philip

Specific psu? 390 over 970 if you don't need cuda.

I don't get why people try to persuade him to go AMD... there is not much of a difference and AMD is seriously lacking in drivers or game-support as of lately..

Tombraider runs terrible and so does the new hitman, no need to downgrade your experience with AMD.

i7 non-K or K would help with rendering. How much better over the i5, i couldn't tell you, but it would increase life before a replacement. I'd just go with the non-K series, i personally have a K version and it is awesome at the stock 4 Ghz, plus the K series is quite a bit more expensive. Throw a evo 212 (20-30$) cooler on it and it will stay nice and cool for what ever you throw at it.

The 970 will probably be just fine. I've heard people love the nvidia game recording software. My buddy has one and says even with mods on FO4 he almost always has 60fps. I have an R9 390 and its a bad ass but it does run hot, which personally i hate.

RAM is probably good as well.

Build looks ok though, you should be happy. Go and look at JayzTwoCents, Pauls Hardware, and Awsome Sauce on YouTube and look at their builds in the budget you have set. They might have found better hardware you haven't found, or considered yet, I found multiple things in previous builds i would have done differently if i had seen some of those video's first. Definatly watch this, this build is wicked, plus hes doing the same thing you are trying to achive, just change some hardware to get the build within your budget...

Both GPU companies have their pros and cons... I have always loved the nvidia's ive owned and they never let me down, still went with the AMD and don't regret it. Again they both have PRO's and CON's, go with the one that has the features your looking for...

Yea, I will probably be going for nvidia, since I already have experience with it, and right now for me, this just an upgrade
