Windows Server 2016 Domain Controller ?

Hello I'm playing around with Active Directory. I'm having issue connect another computer to the domain. Not sure what I'm doing... my domain is dantech.internal but when I try and join it gives me a error. saying could not be contacted. but when I do DANTECH it gives me a login and when I login with my administrator account it same thing. same thing it says can't contact domain.

Sounds as though your DNS (and if you're using it, DHCP) setup records might be odd. Can you double check you've set these up ok?

Also, just a side thought - are your computers also at least able to see one another - can you ping one from the other & visa-versa?

Ok the computers can see each other. I will cehck the DHCP and DNS when I get home.
