Thank you all for taking the time to answer to me and my old post :).

I only have one more question to ask.

Question: I have heard that in not a long time, NVidia will come with a new edition of graphic cards. These will have the pascal chipset. Is it worth to wait for there graphics cards if i wanna upgrade or would you still say: go for the GTX 980 TI?

kind regards,

Old post

Good afternoon,

I have a couple of questions about SLI. I am not experienced with SLI but would like to try it out. I have heard alot of good reviews about it and i want to have some smooth performance with my pc if i play high end games.

Case:  CoolerMaster HAF912 Plus ATX

Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M5

CPU:  Intel Core i5-6600K 3500 1151 BOX

GPU: GTX 970 GAMING 4G

Memory:  DDR4 8GB 2400-15 Fury Black K2 KHX

Drives:  SSD 500GB 520/540 850 EVOBasic SA3 SAM +  WD 2TB WD20EARX Green SA3

Powersupply:  CoolerMaster G750M 750W ATX

Operating System: Windows 10 64bit

Monitor :  Asus' VG278H 3D Vision monitor

First question is: If i would put a second GTX970 in my pc, would i need a stronger powersupply to keep my computer up and running?

Second question: I play a few different kind of games. For example i play Gta 5, Anno 2205 but also World of warcraft and League of legends. My question is if these games will be competable with SLI and if i will see the performance get better?

Sorry if my english is not the best, Its not my native tongue.

Hope to hear something soon.

You'll see a significant boost with SLI and that PSU is enough for it. That being said, you have the potential to run into issues with it so a single-card solution like the GTX 980Ti will be the better choice.

As for waiting for Pascal - you've got a GTX 970 and it's more than capable to keep you waiting until either Polaris or Pascal hits. I'd personally wait.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Nvidia graphics cards don't properly support dx12 which could be a problem in the future so I say wait for Pascal graphics cards as they will properly support dx12 and you will get much better performance from the newer gpus.
