Activate windows after hardware upgrade

next time don't buy OEM licence, buy FPP/retail - the FPP/retail licence can be transferred to a new PC, the OEM is tied to a single system

MS reactivates OEM licences only after the owner proves the original components were defective and needed to be replaced/upgraded

you could try and give MS a call, but I doubt they'll do anything

They will. I had that problem. I was able to reactivate it through windows by calling some MS robo number.

Microsoft refuses to help me...

In their opinion i have a completely new computer, since i upgraded my motherboard!

All the "help" they can give me, is sending me to sales, for a new license, which they want 200 $(cad) for...
