I was just wondering, has anyone ever seen a block+pump+res combo? Considering that there are block+pump combos and pump+res combos in existence, and most people have a ton more space above their CPU than that which is taken up by the block already, this seems like it would make sense (especially for my prodigy)

Daily Driver:

Case: Red Prodigy CPU: i5 3570K @ 4.3 GHZ GPU: Powercolor PCS+ 290x @1100 mhz MOBO: Asus P8Z77-I CPU Cooler: NZXT x40 RAM: 8GB 2133mhz AMD Gamer series Storage: A 1TB WD Blue, a 500GB WD Blue, a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

A res tends to weigh a lot because it's full of water. It would also have to stick quite far out for be a sufficient size.

Both of these things mean if it was mounted sideways like in most PCs a CPU cooler is; it could very easily crack the motherboard.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

Too heavy. There are limits to things sadly.

Ahhh, see I was thinking for my prodigy and didn't consider weight.

What about a 3.5in bay pump/res? Is it just too small?

awesome compact idea, but there are flaws. noise is the top of the list. does have

G1/4" bungs, power from mobo fan header, compact.
