Steam Invisibility Cloak?

When I download addons for GMod it crashes (I have found nothing on how to fix this), so is there a way I can go invisible so when I log in it doesn't show that I am online?

I used that "offline" mode and whenever I log in, I'm "offline", so yeah.

If that doesn't work, click  the Steam tab in the top-left/right, Click settings, go to friends tab, then untick the box labeled "Automatically sign into Friends when I start Steam"
