Arma 3 blackscreen fix

So for a while now i have been dealing with Arma 3 randomly black screening. By black screening i mean that the game will just put my monitors to sleep and I cant turn them back on, however  i can still hear sounds from the game. It has been doing this regardless of the GPU, CPU, or temperature. I'm not really sure what the problem is after knowing the hardware doesn't seem to make a difference.

try to reinstall ArmA 3

already did, that was the first thing that came to mind and it still does it

thats weird, update drivers?

they're already up to date

have you tried another monitor? 

i have tried three different monitors and all the same result

Then I have no idea.. Hope it works out!

i lowered my graphics settings and it stopped, or at least prolonged the time it does it for awhile. I have a GTX 970 so i have no idea why i should lower my graphics settings but it works for now.

Hm. Something that has been happening to me sounds a bit like this.

 

 

When the issue occurs, does unplugging the video cable from your Graphics Card and plugging it back in help?

i've never tried. All i do when this happens is just restart my computer.

I used to have to restart my computer as well. Next time it happens, give my suggestion a try.

 

Also, you have a GTX 970, just like me, according to your profile. I take it you have GeForce experience as well?
