Installing hardware drivers without installing the software

I want to know if its possible to install the .inf files to my drivers without installing the software that comes with?

My example:

Asmedia USB 3.0 controller:

.inf files:

This is what it brings up on both .inf files

I've tried the combinations and it's installing, but no HDD recognition, anyone clever figure this one?

If you want to install the drivers only and the device manufacturer doesn't provide a driver only option, you can try extracting the contents of the installer and then using device manage to install the .inf files. In theory this would work, it has done for me anyway, so you shouldn't have an issue.

well both of the setup files are .exe's but i already have the .inf files dude, read the post again. They just dont work.

You can install it and maybe uninstall the software later? Or you can go to Device manager and try to update/install the drive manually(you chose the driver file in the Device manager)
