Planning to upgrade. Worrying about bottlenecks.

Hi,

 

as stated in the title I'm planning to upgrade my pc, but don't want to cause a bottleneck.

 

I'm currently running a 2500K and a 660TI, but that 660 have been seeing some difficult times lately.

So, if I were to upgrade to a 970 (or similar, preferably Nvidia) would the cpu bottleneck?

 

The rest of the build is fine for sure and won't cause any trouble.

I5 2500k 4,2, msi z77 mpower, h100i, asus gtx 660 ti oc, corsair tx850m, seagate barracuda 1tb, ocz agility 3 128gb, corsair c70. BenQ xl2420t, steelseries 7h fnatic edition, rat 7 mmo, steelseries qck and my (shameful) logitech k120.

At 1080p on a 970, the 2500k is going to strut along like a confident gelding in a horse show. 

 

Throw it in Kentucky Derby hoping for a Triple Crown? No, you're not going to go far. (The Triple Crown being 1440p+. I am bad at analogies.)
