Suggestions for upgrades please

Ok so I built my system almost 5 years ago and have upgraded the GPU just under a year ago. I'm looking to freshen things up soon, maybe cpu/mobo/ram upgrade and possibly an SSD. I would love to build a whole new system but squeezing this out will be tight. Eventually I'll pass this system on to my daughter and build a new one. I mostly game and have been running AMD since bf1942/DC mod so I planned to stick to AMD for "bang for buck".

 

 

Here goes, I went for a "blue theme" and fans have been changed to blue LED.

 

Case: NZXT Tempest EVO

Cpu:  AMD Phenom II X4 955 (stock cooler)      possible upgrade      FX8350?                    

Mobo: ASUS M4A87TD EVO                            possible upgrade      ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0?

Ram: Gskill Ripjaws 8GB DDR3 1333 8-8-8-24   possible upgrade     Gskill Ripjaw X 8GB (2 x 4GB) X 2 DDR3 1866 8-9-9-24?

HD: WD Black 1TB                                          possible addition of  Samsung 850 Pro 256 SSD?

PSU: Kingwin LZ-850

GPU: Asus HD6850/EAH6850 now upgraded to Sapphire Vapor X R9 280X

 

Peripherals:

 

Keyboard: Logitech G510

Mouse: Logitech G500

Monitor: Asus MX279H

I have the FX8350 with the ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 and I'm very happy with it. Maybe you should go with the r9 390 instead of the 290.

The R9 280x Vapor X I already have, I bought it last Spring. The MSI R9 390 is planned for my next build.
