Help With Sigma Equation

MDPS

Hi LTT,

So I've been working on a math problem for a while but haven't been able to answer it and was hoping any mathematicians (or just mathematically versed people) on here might be able to help. So here's the problem:

I have a theoretical situation where I'm trying to buy a thing (we can call it X) in a quantity of 99. Price for X starts at $200, and increments up by $100 after every purchase. Is there any way to calculate the total cost of buying all 99 of X using sigma? If not, is there another way?

Thanks in advance,

MDPS
