Hi,

I am using 2 2460fq monitors from AOC. One is working fine but the one I've recently bought has been sent for repairs 3 times and seems to always come back with the same problem. I'm from Croatia and the people at Cro's AOC customer support have no idea what a 144hz screen even looks like. They have even asked me how did I perform the tests and what does the problem look like. They don't even have a secondary screen to see the difference.

Anyway, the difference is obvious to me especially because I have 2 of the same monitors with one working and the other one not. The menu on the monitor says that it is acutally working ad 144hz but the screen is laggy and stuttery.

The simplest test I could find is this one: http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates

In this test the top UFO is completely fluid and clear on my old 2460fq and stuttery like the first 2 (36, and 60) on the new one.

Both the monitors have been tested on 2 systems via the same connectivity and the old one always works fine. Both PCs have well over 200fps in the games I've tested the difference in.

I'm starting to feel stupid so I was wondering:

Could there be noticable difference between 2 screens with the same refresh rate ? And by noticable I mean rather using a 60hz panel noticable. Does anyone have an idea how I can explain the problem to the customer support without actually sending both of the monitors there so they can compare them ? I'm also open to explanation and discussion regarding this problem because I'm not sure what exactly should I expect from a 144hz monitor, since I've been using only this one from AOC for 2 years. Maybe there is something I'm missing.

Thanks in advance!

They are both running on 144hz, as the menu says and the advanced setting under "display settings" says aswell.

One is hooked up to a r9 280 and the other one to a r9 380. I've swapped the monitors between those two a couple of times and the one that works, always works fine regardless of the gpu. I've also used the catalyst software before to set it at 144hz on both monitors. It didn't work before (by before I meant before the last catalyst update) as it doesen't work now on the problematic monitor.
