Desperate Help Needed - Noise.

I need some help with a weird sound I've had in the last 5+ months which I've gotten rid of it sometimes, but it always comes back.

My story...

I bought a system around july last year, which included those parts-

Corsair Obsidian 650D

Corsair AX850 PSU ( Had this from my previous PC )

Asus 7970 DC2Top

Aus P8Z77-v pro MB

Antec 920 with Cougar Vortex fans

I7 3770K

When I completed my build I had troubles with a much annoying Coil Whine from my GPU...I returned it and got a new one with coil whine...

I didnt let it annoy me..I tried to ignore it..

I bought 2 140 mm cougar fans for top and had a 240 ( I believe, not sure ) in front.

Everything was good, until the main problem...which this thread is about...the much annoying, vibrating, tickling noise...coming from somewhere...

Everytime I put my hand with presure on top of the case, it disappears...then it's back...sometimes when it's gone...I put my hand with the presure just to check, and it starts again, then presure again and it disappears...

I tried to check what it was..but nothing..Then I saw this filter under my PSU...everytime the sound started, I held the filter and it disappeared...

So I thought I've gotten a bad filter. So I removed it. And I got ridden of the sound for a while. Then after 2 months the sound started again, from nothing, just like that.

So I thought the case had a problem..I sold the case, and told the buyer my problem..he still gave me more than I asked for, and when he tried it...problem free.

Then I bought this sweet good looking Fractal Design case, the Define R4...

And I put everything together and.........the sound was back.

I then removed my 2 140mm cougar fans and the sound was gone, for now.

I then returned my GPU, for the coil whine...and believe it or not, I returned it 7 times, which means I got a new card every time, then I asked for a gigabyte Ghz edition instead...2 of those acctually. And with a sarcastic smile,...Both of them had coil whine...

So I changed those to a MSI GTX 680 Lightning, and BOY it's both cold and soundless..

But yasterday, I was talking with my friend in skype, and out of nowhere the vibration sound reappears.

I've checked everything...I removed all my case fans...still the problem...I was afraid that my GTX fans did the problem..And so mad as I was, Trust me, when your at your 10th GPU under 6 months, you'll get annoyed..So I still did my controlling. And while my GTX was on, I put my finger, slowly and stopped 1 fan at a time, just to check the noise..and it was still there..So it was not my GPU...But what can It be?!...

So now I'm happy that I didn't throw away my cougar fans but i'm more dissapointed of this crap:(

My theories so far...

1: My GTX is to "heavy" and makes the case unbalanced..So when I put presure anywhere the sound stops...Still this dosen't make sense to me.

Because my Asus 7970 was heavier and still I got rid of this sound for some time..and when I had 2 gigabyte 7970s I didn't hear this sound, but I didn't have those cards for so long..3-4 hours and I returned them..

2: My antec 920, with the cougar fans. I'm not sure about it because I did play with the integraded Gpu which I get from my Intel CPU and I didn't hear those sounds...

3: It's my PSU fan, which is unbalanced? And when I put presure on the case, I make it a bit balanced for a bit? And when I don't hear the sound and put the presure, I make it unbalanced...

I've had this PSU for about a year and a half..

I know this might be much to read, someone here can help me, I've sent a PM to Linus about this matter too, but I bet his busy and can't even answer me right now, besides, there must me more than me who needs help :(

And sorry for my misspelling, English is not my first language :)

Kind Regards

Hagge

You said you had skype? I think it would be easier to diagnose on a video call obviously. Have you thought about trying a different PSU?

Ye, but dont have any camera:/

I have thought of that, but I sold my other 2 PSUs I had...Thinking of buying one now, a new one, take a risk...But I'm not sure...

Your english is better than native speakers and writers... so don't worry.

Anyways, do you have any mechanical drives?

Thanks :3

I got a Cd/Dvd writer/player which is unplugged duo to this problem, and I got a 500gb and a 1tb mechanical harddrive. Both are unplugged, sitting only with my SSD atm.

Could you stop the psu fans to rule out the unbalance?

or lay your rig on the side to compensate for the heaviness?

or lower the cpu fan speeds?

Ok, I tried removing my PSU and letting it stand outside the case while the computer was active...I didn't hear anything for a while, then it popped agian..

So the only thing remainng was my Antec 920...Removed it now, and checking..

I've got the stock cooler on lol :3
