is my cpu defective ?

i have an fx 8350 

 it was running on stock clocks with stock cooler some times it reached 90 C

mostly 80 / 85 C when i game that's why i re seated the cooler and found out there was some kind of melted white plastic in between golden pins i tried to remove it with brush but it didn't  came out

but the processor is running fine it hangs sometimes but do u think its damaged or something ?

 

cause its still in warranty :!

 Power Supply: Cooler Master Thunder 500W NOW GX 650W v2

Is that melted plastic from your motherboard socket by any chance?

the AM3+ Mobo socket should be grey. at least all the ones i've seen are. white is usually AM3

yep mine is grey too so any ideas what it could be should i ask amd if they cover this in warranty ?

I would find out if this is covered. i have never heard of this happening.

I've never heard of a socket melting, see what you can get from an RMA as it should be covered.
