One thing about the Windows Copy:

What I did last week was buying a Windows 7 license key, which cost about 7€ ( it was sold from a volume license, completely legal where I live (Germany), please check if it is also legal where you live!). Then using a windows 10 USB stick ( Windows media creation tool ) I installed Windows 10 and used the Windows 7 key for installation. It worked perfectly fine, because Microsoft now accepts windows 7 and 8 keys also when fresh installing Windows 10, not only when upgrading from an existing system.

Yes I will do the overclocking for him

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/PRq3Lk

If he wants 1440p144Hz

If you can get Windows for cheaper you might be able to squeeze in Crossfire FuryX with this PSU and the ASUS 1440p monitor.

Mouse and keyboard a personal preference but some good suggestions would be K70 (Blue/Red) or G710+ (Browns), they both have backlighting and extra macro keys. Mice - Logitech G502, SteelSeries Rival, FinalMouse 2015.

Mindfactory will ship to Austria at a reasonable price so I used them for most of the parts, I don't really know how it is it Austria but you may be able to save on overall postage costs getting them all from there.

Ok thank you.

Would you all recommend the i7-4790k and not a newer version of CPU?

It has gone cheaper since Skylake was a thing and the performance difference between Haswell refresh and Skylake is not big

WOuld you mind telling me why you went for the FuryX and a X99 Platform jsut for curiosity. And if he asks why I would have some arguments :D

With a 3000 Euro bugdet you can easily go for X99 for 6 cores from the 5820k, you said your friend will be doing a bit of editing, depending on how much that actually is the 5820k will be useful. If he would prefer to save some money a 4790k + ~160USD Z97 motherboard will be just as good for gaming.

From what I could find the FuryX is cheaper in Germany (I don't know what the pricing is like in Austria, but I assume it would be similar across most Europe), at 1440p the FuryX seems to do just as good if not better in a lot of games compared to the 980Ti, it also seems to scale a little better in Crossfire if he wanted a second one.

If the 980Ti is cheaper in Austria then by all means for a 980Ti, MSI, Gigabyte and Zotac cards all have great aftermarket coolers on them for the 980Ti for around the same price.

20Euro between the FuryX/980Ti or X99/Z97? If it is X99 you are talking about then go for X99. If you are talking about the FuryX/980Ti then you should look up benchmarks for games that he will be playing most of the time and see which card will perform better for those games overall.

What do you guys think about the H110i?

Seems to perform pretty much the same as the H100i, check out this review to compare it with lots of other AIOs.

Also if the H110i performance is slightly better the diffrence in noise is pretty big in load. So thank you for the input. Will more likely look towards the H100i then
