Here's the list:

Processor: i5 4690k (has never been overclocked)

GPU: MSI Gtx 970 Twin Frozer edition

Cooler: Kraken x61 Liquid Cooler

Wireless adapter: TP Link Wireless adapter(TL-WDN4800)

Motherboard: z97 MSI Gaming 5

Ram: 8GB (2x4) Crucial Ballistix sport

PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750 W

Not including my hard drive.

I'm not sure how much I should knock off the price of unused versions of my parts. I still have all the boxes that came with them as well as hardware(screws, cables, etc).

The system barely ever experienced heavy load anyway (gamed 20 hours a month if I was lucky).

In addition, it's all housed in a NZXT Phantom 530 but I took out the fan controller and rear i/o lights (personal preference, I still have those parts).

Would it be better as a system or part it out on something like craiglist?

I live in New York (for prices or something) if that helps

Thank you for reading if you did!

PS- I'm not asking for someone to research prices and do my "homework" for me. I just want some advice on the matter, as I've never really sold anything independently.

Definitely sell as parts, your going to get the most money back from your hardware if you do

I usually use eBay, and make sure you check how much the components you are going to sell are currently going for on eBay before you list them

Put the parts you took out back in and make it as clean as you can as well

Would it be better to sell the system as a whole off of something like craiglist, or in parts?

Dunno what is best selling platform in States, however auction sites like eBay are quite good to go.

If you are not in real hurry you should try to sell as a full PC on eBay. If not selling as parts would be the choice.

Dunno how about warranty, if there is one and you can transfer it. Those items will be pretty popular on eBay.

As for how much you need to decrease the price from retail... Well I've seen a lot of cases when auction ended at higher price than the retail one. Thus just make a research of the parts you are selling on eBay. Try to sell the whole system and if no luck, then sell it part by part.

Hope this helps :)
