290X will be the absolute max your CPU can power before bottlenecking .Even then it MIGHT bottleneck

 

i would advice you to get the 390 really... mostly because it uses less power and performs really close to the old 290X's

I've been really wanting the 390 actually just wondered cause the retailer just slashed 290X prices xD
