x99 sabertooth error 00A2 cmos error

Go to solution Solved by runit3,

Anyone know how to fix this, won't POST. I unplugged all usb connections, still won't POST. Used the phone app tuf protective to get the code to read out. First build, so not sure what to do. Any way to reset the bios to default settings manually? I made a few changes in my bios and now it won't POST, specifically I disabled hyper threading.

Try that. Do any of the board's LED's stay lit while going through pre-boot?

What speed of memory are you using?  I used to run an x99 Deluxe and ran into issues where it didn't like playing nice with XMP profiles, best case scenario is that it would not post initially, then a restart would see it post and boot normally (replaced with an MSI x99 Krait, much happier now actually)

I ended up removing the boot up devices and viola. not sure what happened. I was going to try and jump it but was hoping there was an easier way. I think when I left the amp profile active and then disabled hyper threading, it just caused some issues, probably wasn't the right move.

Technically there is an easier way, depending on if you have a FAT32 USB and the BIOS version you want loaded up on it. USB BIOS Flashback is the shit. ~30 seconds and a freshly flashed BIOS should nuke out any odd settings you enabled/disabled.
