bluetooth adapter not working

i got a bluetooth adapter but when i plug it in there is no bluetooth option in the settings of windows 10

Although I do not have much experience with Bluetooth, make sure the computer sees the device and that it is turned on.

You can use device manager for this.

Then make sure you have all the drivers installed (preferably from the manufacturer's website).

If you do not see an icon then make sure the device is still on and restart the computer.
