Think I did something wrong lol

So I was attempting overclocking my new 2500k on a GA-68A-PD and followed a very in depth tutorial. Got it up to 4.5ghz and then I tried to load into the OS, and was stuck in a boot loop. The health status of the cpu was fine along with the tempeture. Never went above 65 degrees. So my question is: is this a problem with failed overclocking to throw it into bootloop?

Sorry MOD if this is an off topic question. Wasn't sure really to post it but it seemed best here.

 

SPECS:

CPU: i5 2500k

CPU cooler: Cool master something (air cooled)

MOBO: GA-68A-PD

RAM: (3 x4gb) 12gb ripjaw

GPU: MSI Geforce 960

PSU: 500w Thermaltake bronze

Your specific chip may not be able to do 4.5 regardless of temps. Try backing off a bit and seeing if you can boot up successfully.

I've looked online and some people have gotten it up to 4.9ghz

Some can reach higher than that, some cant reach 4.4. Its all luck of the draw.
