GPU not being detected

ChingChong

Hello guys im having trouble with my video card not being detected by my system.

Currently running off iGPU.

System Specs:

i5 2500k

Gigabyte z68x-ud5

16gb g.skill 1600mhz

XFX 6990

TX 750 gen1

I have the 6990 installed into the first 16x slot with these settings in the BIOS

http://i49.tinypic.com/abi68j.png

Ive tried everything from switching PCI-e slots to different BIOS combinations, switching PCI-e power cables.

I cannot fully disable the onboard so the computer will always boot into windows.

The only options for the "Onboard VGA" are : Enable if no PEG, Always Enable, AUTO

The card is functional as i have tested it in a friends computer.

The card worked previously in my computer, but since i did a case swap it has been giving me trouble.

try the different pcie slots.

set the option for pcie slots, should be in bios somewhere, primary display adapter peg.

then set all the pcie slots to gen 2,not auto

Ive tried using different PCI-e slots as well as changing to the correct PCI-e settings in the BIOS.

Have you tried using the 'clear cmos' jumper on your motherboard?

Yup. Even tried removing the battery for a few minutes. I still need to try a different card on my board.

try messing with the bios, look for specific pcie settings, other than the igp part mentioned.

or if you don't want to then take pictures of every bios screen and upload it for us to see.

Did you try looking into your manual to see how to change it to use your gpu instead of your integrated cpu graphics?
