As you could probably tell from my signature, you'd see the rig I plan on building. I have a few of the components already: case, cooler, and storage.

Some of the cheaper prices are parts purchased from MicroCenter. The PC must remain in the ITX form factor and stay in the 2000 USD price range. It must also look very excellent (I would like a fully-modular PSU for cable management).

why not go for SkyLake?

the increase in cost for the CPU RAM and MoBo is only like $100

Budget and minimal performance gain to the point where it's not even worth $5.

i know the MB does not have a listed price, but the buffer for your budget allows for it to be expensive enough

I'd rather stick with the M.2 PCIe SSD for those ultra fast boots and loads (2 GB/s, not Gigabits, GigaBYTES).

I would go for one of the new EK Preditor AIO Liquid cooling solutions. It's a competitive price and some of the best cooling out there for AIO.

That build doesn't work. It's a M.2 PCIe based drive in a SATA III based M.2 slot. That MOBO won't recognize the SSD.
