Windows 10 Closes Programs - Ram Usage 75%

I don't know if this is a specific problem to me, but anyways I have a problem where windows just outright forecloses my games when I have other programs open, using ram. This happened on windows 7 as well. I currently have 8GB of ram installed in a dual channel configuration. I have windows 10 on my 120GB ssd with hibernation disabled and a page file of 512MB. Note: If I disable the page file, windows creates a huge one anyways...

 

I always have "a few" chrome tabs open when doing anything else on my computer, ram usage mostly hovering around 50% usage. I can start up a game like csgo and play fine, ram usage around 60%. Windows decides to abruptly close games like Shadow of Mordor and The Witcher 3 when ram usage only spikes to around 75% usage. WTF?

 

I have since used chrome session manager to save all my tabs and close them to run a game, and then load them all back up when done. Kind of annoying. Although with the recent Newegg ram sales, I could pick up another 8GB kit of ram and have 16GB. Think windows would still do the same shit?

Yep! I set it to system managed (on my hard drive of course) and it choose something between 16MB and 1913MB. So I manually set it to a maximum of 1913MB and boom. I used 80%+ ram while playing The Wither 3 and no problems!
